After 2022’s synth-flavoured singles ‘Sing That Song’ and ‘Leave So Soon’ – The young artist taps into that nostalgic realm adopted by sounds of the past. With his dreamy, expressive voice, synthpop singer James Burt knows how to inject his tracks with a dose of 80s nostalgia, as he does on his latest single ‘’Space Age Love Song’’.

James Burt brings his talent to this exceptional cover of The Flock of Seagull’s track ‘Space Age Love Song’ which explores infatuation and passion. The song begins with a punchy retro tom fill and then launches into an abundance of synths and guitars. Sparkly synths twinkle whilst high arpeggios flicker over the solid drumbeat. Burt's voice lends itself to the retro synthpop feeling that permeates the music with a pulsating beat that pushes the music on. His passionate vocals cry out ‘I saw your eyes and you made me smile and for a little while, I was falling in love’.

Space Age Love Song is about intimacy. It explores a guy who meets a woman, and although they cannot be together, for the brief time they shared, she affected him. The song is about someone beautiful in your eyes, getting butterflies, and constantly thinking of someone. Not true love but more infatuation. It’s a very powerful feeling that sadly does not last.
